We have every type of cleaning process in our carpet cleaning arsenal. Carpet cleaning professionals use a wide range of cleaning methods when tackling dirty rugs and carpets. Cost, degree of carpet soiling, environmental conditions and fiber type typically influence the selection of a carpet-cleaning method. Here are the three most common professional carpet cleaning processes used today that we do.

1. Hot water cleaning extraction

Also known as hot water extraction, hot water cleaning is a common method of cleaning carpets. In this method, hot water is injected into the carpet under pressure. The hot water effectively loosens the dirt, and the carpet-cleaning machine immediately draws moisture and dirt away. Heavily soiled carpet often requires the use of detergent. Hot water extraction cleaning is effective in removing odors and killing bacteria and dust mites. The drying time is long with this method. We use this method for highly soiled traffic areas and major pet stains, as well as carpets that haven’t been cleaned on an annual basis.

2. Bonnet dry cleaning

The dry-cleaning method uses virtually no water. A technician sprinkles a small amount of an absorbent compound over the carpet and uses a mechanized brush to work it through the carpet, dissolving soil. The soil and residue are then drawn up by a commercial vacuum cleaner. Easily damaged natural-fiber carpets, such as sisal and hemp, benefit from the dry-cleaning process.

3. Counter rotating brush encapsulation cleaning (CRB)

Though this method of carpet cleaning is sometimes referred to as a dry-cleaning method, it really is not. It is a low moisture cleaning process that is less harmful to carpet and rugs. Our CRB cleaning uses a green hypoallergenic cleaning product, that is mixed with oxygenated water. We spread it as a mist over the surface of the carpet and our products "crystalize" the dirt and help bring them to the surface. We use the CRB machine and a circular rotating machine with an absorbent covering. The CRB machine picks up the stain and soiled materials removing them from the carpet. These cleaning methods work best for lightly to medium soiled carpets, but is extremely effective. This process allows our customer to actually view the dirt and materials that we are pulling out of their carpet as they are thrown into the machine's trays for proper disposal. It is and should be viewed as the best maintenance measure following an intensive hot water extraction cleanings as needed for highly soiled carpets and rugs.

Benefits of cleaning your carpet

Everyone knows that getting your carpet professionally cleaned makes it look a great deal better, but what most don’t know is that it can make you or your family members feel a great deal better. How you might ask? Well it is simple, because carpet is a "petri-dish" of dirt and bacteria and you can be assured that our cleaning methods will remove these contaminants and make your home safe and healthy. Everything you do throughout every moment of your life in your home remains in your carpet. Contaminates from your shoes, food, pets, even from leaving your windows open, are trapped in your carpet. Routine cleaning such as vacuuming can get up some of these as it focuses on the surfaces, however to truly insure the longevity of your carpet and to better insure your good health, it is recommended to get your carpets professionally cleaned once every 6-12 months. What most people are unaware of is that getting your carpet cleaned can help with asthma, as well as those who have snoring issues, because particles such as dust mites that are loosened up from foot traffic make their way into the air and our oxygenated products actually help purify the air as we clean. Professionally cleaning your carpet will get to the soil-age that remains deep down in the fabric and padding. That soil-age often makes its way to the surfaces and into the air through abrasion, i.e. foot traffic, which is also where your heavy traffic areas come from.
