Healthy and Quick Breakfast Ideas for the Whole Family

I have been blessed with three amazing children who have a pretty wide palate, but no matter how hard I try, breakfast seems to be our biggest struggle. I know you can throw a bowl of Kashi cereal and skim milk down in front of them, but after a while, that gets old. I have made the "tried and true" steel cut oatmeal with fresh berries and ground flax seed too, but again, my kids wanted a change of pace, especially in the hot heat; not such heavy foods.


I tested and succeeded with three of my favorite breakfast dishes that not only my kids love, but the whole family. I have the warm, all-in-one breakfast, the quick & easy “on the go” idea that has a low cost and the fun, kid-friendly recipe that they can help make too. 1.) Whole wheat toast with all-natural, organic peanut or almond butter, topped with fresh, sliced bananas and drizzled with local honey

2.) Blend together 1 can of sugar-free mandarin oranges, ½ can natural crushed pineapples in its own juices, 1 cup of vanilla soy or almond milk and 1 cup of crushed ice

3.) Mix 1 cup of plain Greek yogurt with a handful of blueberries and raspberries, sprinkle an all-natural granola in the mix and sprinkle with a little stevia
